Cell Phone Disco is a panel with installed RF sensors and LEDs that visualizes the electromagnetic field of an active mobile phone. The sensors detect GSM, 2G, 3G, LTE or other mobile phone signals and control the surface through several thousand LEDs. The LEDs illuminate when the phone makes or receives a call in the vicinity of the installation. Cell Phone Disco makes an invisible property of the environment perceptible to our senses. It reveals the communicating body of the mobile phone.

The system was developed in combination with design and architecture experts from the company INFOTUDE, and is installed in many cities worldwide, including Pittsburgh, Vancouver, Texas, Philadelphia, and Washington.
